Event Series Event Series: Voter Reform Group

Voter Reform Group

February 2 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

A strong democracy depends on civic engagement and a commitment to pluralism. We come together every other week to learn, discuss, and share our individual perspectives on elections and political issues affecting our communities and nation. Importantly, we use this group to take action. We register new voters and mobilize voters for every election. We encourage members to become poll workers and monitors, and to take action on voting rights and other justice issues. We engage in nonpartisan postcard writing campaigns to encourage people to vote and remove any financial barrier so that all citizens can equally participate. Together, we send thousands of cards and letters and amplify our impact. Join us bi-weekly on Sundays at 10am-11am to mobilize.

Click here to RSVP and receive Zoom information for our next meeting.

We believe in the power of Love. Period.

Through Love, we are each created in God’s image and filled with the Divine Spark. No matter whom we love, no matter how we look, no matter where we are on our journey, God’s imprint is in every person of every race/ethnicity, every gender, and every sexual orientation. We believe God speaks many languages and is calling us on many paths to peace—Shalom. We believe that Love put on flesh—brown, poor, Jewish baby flesh—and came to live among us. We believe God lives among us still; we are the living body of Christ. We are the hands, feet, and heartbeat of God. We believe the Spirit of God calls us to freedom, and we are not free until all of us are free.
