What to Expect on Sunday
Walk up our steps on Second Avenue and experience a warm, radical welcome from the greeters at the door. You are sure to see someone right away who reminds you of you! Our liturgy and worship will feel familiar in form, but you will be surprised by creative sermons that move the heart and mind and by the use of arts in worship. Our music will encourage your toes to tap and your heart to soar! All of this takes place in our historic 1892 sanctuary filled with classical and gospel choirs, traditional and contemporary hymns and spirituals, worshipful dance and spoken word, earth shaking sermons that resonate with today's world-- and a diverse and energetic congregation that shares in the celebration. Our sanctuary may be filled, but there's a place for you and yours here.
We welcome families of all types. We provide childcare and children's church to recognize and celebrate the diversity of families and children in New York. After worship, our fellowship hall is buzzing with the activity of people reconnecting and planning. Our community extends beyond Sunday morning.
