Middle Collegiate Church is a celebrating, culturally diverse, inclusive and growing community of faith where all persons are welcomed just as they are as they come through the door.

Rooted in Christian tradition as the oldest continuous Protestant Church in North America, Middle Church is called by God to boldly do a new thing on the earth.

As a teaching congregation that celebrates the arts, our ministries include rich and meaningful worship, care and education that nurture the mind, body and spirit, social action which embraces the global community, and participation in interfaith dialogue for the purpose of justice and reconciliation.

Priorities for Realizing Vision: Create outstanding weekly worship celebrations; grow leaders on staff and in the congregation; care for the congregation's humanity and soul; support children, youth, social justice and art ministries; rebuild Middle facility for ministry and accessibility; develop a congregation of generous partners to support ministry and site improvement; promote Middle's Theological presence in the world; develop Teaching Church and our think/act tank; work collaboratively with our Collegiate partners.

In every aspect of our ministry, the consistory and staff ask ourselves: Will this attract friends? Will this retain members? Will this grow leaders? Will this nuture spirits? Will this deploy activists?

Adopted in 2005, Vision 2010 has Four Goal Areas:
DEEP AND WIDE GROWTH: Reach new and different neighbors in New York City through worship and outreach; reach new and different neighbors in the city and the nation through MediaMinistries;
DEEPEN SPIRITUALITY OF MIND BODY AND SPIRIT: Establish Middle Church as a center for care and education.
SOCIAL ACTION/NATIONAL AND GLOBAL PRESENCE/INTERFAITH DIALOG: Establish social action ministries at Middle Church with global, national and local emphases.
RESOURCING THE MINISTRIES: Improve and increase space; Hire and develop staff; Embark on partnership/stewardship campaign.
